Here's how it works: Before using the machine, you'll need to preheat it for about 5 minutes. When the head is spinning, stop the machine briefly to fill it with sugar. Turn the power back on, do not allow the machine to cool down. When the machine produces its first "threads" catch them with a stick. Level the stick for a short period of time and wrap the spun sugar around it. It will get bigger if you use the stick horizontally.
