Filled with a non-toxic gel, the self-cooling mat will typically be about 5 - 10 degrees cooler than room temperature. When used, the mat will remain cool for approximately 1 hour depending on the environment. To cool the mat, leave it unused for 1 hour, no need to freeze or refrigerate. The cooling mat can be used on its own, in a dog bed or in a carrier. To clean the mat, simply wipe the cover with a cloth and soapy water. Then rinse it with water before use.
