Ubbink Aqua Phos Adsorber Pond Water Treatment is a liquid pond water care product that effectively reduces the phosphate content of the water, preventing algae from feeding and proliferating. In addition to carbon and nitrogen, phosphate is the nutrient and factor that limits the growth of algae. Algae cannot grow without phosphate. Food scraps, fish waste, leaves, pollen from the air, etc. all introduce phosphates into ponds. When the amounts are too high and the pond plants can no longer absorb phosphates, algae begin to grow.
