Ubbink Aqua Oxy Pond Algae Treatment is a granular pond water maintenance product that will help you remove sediment from ponds. Specifically, artificial ponds do not flow naturally, due to their smooth side walls. All sediment and accumulated pollution (such as leaves, food debris and pollen) sink to the bottom quickly and form a layer of sludge. Normally, oxygen-using microorganisms break down these sediments. But, often, there is hardly any oxygen left in this layer of sludge and the substances grow and cause the pools to develop an unsightly putrid smell and, therefore, the quality of the water decreases. The Aqua Oxy additive sinks to the bottom, penetrates the mud and feeds the microorganisms, which will begin to decompose the mud.
